• Prinz Eugen A heavy cruiser ship-girl and a new German vessel introduced during the Fall 2014 event "Operation Kon" in Kantai Collection. She could be obtained by defeating the boss of the third sea area during the event. While she is an event-only drop in the browser version, she can be encountered through Large Ship Construction in KanColle Arcade under certain conditions involving cooperation with other foreign ships. Although her formal library entry is "Prinz Eugen," she is commonly referred to by her katakana name. Her remodel level is currently 45, the highest among heavy cruisers, and she is the first heavy cruiser to possess a holo-background rarity in her base form. The original vessel was quite large for a heavy cruiser, with a total length nearly equal to a Kongou-class battleship, though there is a twofold difference in displacement due to entirely different levels of armament and armor thickness. While the German ship trait of "allowing construction of other German ships when set as flagship" would theoretically allow players to skip the lengthy "Submarine Dispatch Mission" expedition (and the acquisition of Z1), there is currently no verified data confirming successful German ship construction with her as the flagship.
