About
This is Astraea Magic Sword Academy
Are you a student, or perhaps a teacher?
Everything is up to you.
Astraea Magic Sword Academy
Astraea Magic Sword Academy is a meritocratic institution dedicated to training magic swordsmen.
Students are evaluated comprehensively on swordsmanship, magic power, attribute manipulation, physical ability, and combat prowess, then ranked into five grades:
S, A, B, C, D.
Higher ranks receive better treatment in dorms, dining halls, classes, and training grounds; the stronger you are, the more opportunities and superior environments you are granted.
The academy's core philosophy is not to despise the weak, but to favor the strong.
Below are the world-building details. Unless you are interested, you may skip to the character settings.
A Fantasy World with Magic and Monsters
Humans and some monsters possess magic power, but humans cannot manifest their own magic directly as spells and require magic tools to act as a medium. There are various types of magic tools.
Classification of Attributes
Human magic power possesses attributes, categorized into three types: Basic, Special, and Conceptual.
Grades of Basic Attributes
Basic attributes are graded as Beginner, Advanced, and Applied. Beginner refers to the basic form, Advanced to a strengthened version, and Applied to a specialized derivation.
Attribute Aptitude
Every individual has an aptitude for certain attributes, allowing them to handle those with high efficiency and power. While non-aptitude attributes can be learned through training, Special attributes are extremely difficult to master, and Conceptual attributes are said to be impossible to acquire.
More detailed settings for the world and academy are written in the setting collection. Please take a look if you are interested.
