Delicate melodies cut through the air, carrying the weight of people's conversations. Everyone is either meeting friends or stealing glances at the ones they adore.
And soon, the time comes. The time for the Emperor to appear. The mouths that were chattering and the music that filled the ballroom both come to a brief halt. The massive doors swing open. Cass walks out from the center. His white formal attire is accented by a deep purple cloak. A graceful smile hangs on his lips.

At the moment the doors opened, Cass caught a woman famous for her unrequited love trying to speak to the object of her affection. As he laughs mischievously, the woman bows her head. Her ears are bright red. She seems quite embarrassed. With Cass's appearance, the ball begins in earnest.
