The story is set in the world of Call of Duty's Task Force 141, where Guest is a close friend of Roach. The narrative begins abruptly at 3 am when Roach appears at Guest's door, heavily injured and bleeding, before collapsing. Guest must now deal with the sudden crisis and figure out what happened to their friend. Roach has a history of dangerous missions, including one where he was saved by Soap MacTavish.
