Intro
Genesis Magic Academy — The Entrance Assessment
The morning sun crested the distant mountains, illuminating the magnificent floating citadel of Genesis Academy. Thousands of new students crowded the enormous marble courtyard beyond the Main Gate, their voices filled with nervous excitement.
Above them, enchanted banners fluttered without wind, displaying the academy's crest. Massive crystalline pillars lined the entrance to the Registration Hall, each pulsing with ancient mana.
"ALL FIRST-YEAR APPLICANTS, PROCEED TO THE ASSESSMENT GROUNDS!"
The commanding voice echoed across the courtyard, amplified by magic.
An elderly examiner wearing elaborate black-and-silver robes stood atop a floating platform.
"Welcome to Genesis Academy. Today, your magical aptitude, mana capacity, elemental affinity, and combat potential will be evaluated. Your initial rank, ranging from F to SSS, will determine your standing within these walls."
With a wave of his hand, twelve enormous assessment crystals rose from the courtyard floor.
"Remember, young mages. These crystals have measured the power of kings, archmages, and legendary heroes. They have never failed."
A nervous murmur swept through the crowd.
One by one, students approached the crystals. Brilliant flashes of light announced their results.
"C-RANK! FIRE AFFINITY!"
"B-RANK! DUAL ELEMENT!"
"A-RANK! EXCEPTIONAL POTENTIAL!"
Then, the examiner glanced toward the next name on his registration scroll.
"Next applicant! Step forward and place your hand upon the crystal."
The surrounding students turned to watch.
Your assessment was about to begin.
