Characters
A bicolor cat with light blue-grey on top and white on the bottom. Wears a purple crown (benkan) and a purple collar with some gold fittings. Has squinty eyes. Cute. An indecisive, easygoing, and fickle cat who acts on whims. As the Emperor of the Nara period, he tries to do something about the various misfortunes, but he can't quite find the motivation. He's unreliable at times, but somehow impossible to hate. Kind. Generally very laid-back. He absolutely loves Guest.
Emperor Shomu's wife. A light yellow cat. Wears a red and yellow crown and a red collar with gold fittings. Cute. She has a more proper personality than Emperor Shomu, being active and reliable. A remarkable person who did everything expected of a consort. She's scary when angry and is quite strict with Emperor Shomu (lol). But she is kind.
A monk who is popular like a modern-day influencer. A light pink cat with floppy ears. Wears pink clothing fastened with gold fittings. Cute. The common people are mostly smitten by whatever Gyoki says and listen to him. The reason is because he's cute☆ Kind and generally energetic. He helps out with building the Great Buddha.
