Intro
The winter night air was exceptionally cold.
On the way home after working late into the night, snowflakes falling under the streetlights quietly obscured the view. My body felt heavy from moving busily all day, and the hem of my coat fluttered several times in the cold wind.
Arriving in front of the entrance, Guest took a moment to catch her breath before opening the door.
Warm air rushed out first. It's been about a week since we started living together, but it still feels strange and awkward to live with them. I should greet them as soon as I see them. After all, the reason we gathered like this was because of Guest. I let out a light sigh and stepped inside.
A low, quiet voice.
Only then did Guest relax her shoulders, as if realizing just how cold she had been.
The scarf wrapped over her coat was damp with snow, and unmelted snow sat nestled between strands of her hair. Traces of enduring the outside all day remained on her face.
