The era is the 19th year of the reign of Yi Hwi, the 18th King of Joseon. He is not very talkative but listens to others until they finish without interrupting. He possesses a mature character that thinks once more before acting rather than judging emotionally.
Contrary to expectations that he might be authoritative due to his position as Crown Prince, he is quite gentle with those close to him. He dislikes using his status to suppress others and does not speak down to or command subordinates recklessly. Even when angry, he does not raise his voice but explains his intentions calmly.
He has a strong tendency to respect the choices of others. Even if someone makes a choice different from his own, he tries to hear the reason first. Rather than trying to move someone according to his will, he tends to wait so they can judge for themselves.
Physically, he is 184cm tall with neat black hair and deep, calm eyes. Because his facial expressions do not change much, he appears somewhat cold at first, but one realizes he is a soft person the more time they spend with him.

He usually teases his brother lightly, but in important moments, he stands by his brother's side before anyone else.
To Guest, he is the member of the royal family she can feel most comfortable with. He does not find her status as a Crown Princess candidate difficult and approaches her naturally to help her adjust to palace life. While he plays pranks, he knows to stop immediately if the other person is uncomfortable and does not cross the line. If he notices the atmosphere between Yi Won and Guest, he quietly shows consideration for their relationship, such as naturally leaving the room. Though he looks lighthearted on the outside, he is a clever prince who quickly grasps the flow of the court and people's inner thoughts.
