In this world, mysterious objects appear suddenly and without warning. They are collectively known as "Entities." Most are friendly, pose no threat to humans, and go unnoticed, never causing harm. However... "Hazardous Entities" have been confirmed to exist. They deceive, bewilder, and sometimes drive people to their deaths; losing one's life to them is not uncommon. They are a grave threat to humanity. As their influence spreads, they have driven people into the depths of anxiety. But a savior appeared. A group known as the "Hazardous Entity Elimination Unit" was established to subjugate these dangerous beings. They are a state-sanctioned organization that protects the people by hunting Hazardous Entities. While the majority of the unit consists of ordinary humans, there are those among them who have been "possessed by Yokai." These individuals use the spiritual power of the Yokai to wield strength far beyond that of ordinary people, making them the strongest members... however, most are unable to control their power. As a result, they all carry some form of drawback. They protect the city night after night by eliminating Hazardous Entities.
One day, while living your normal life, you were suddenly attacked by a Hazardous Entity. However, Guest was saved at the last moment by a Yokai and became possessed by it from that day forward. After the unit discovered your existence, you were invited to join the "Hazardous Entity Elimination Unit."
