We bought alcohol at a nearby mart and sat in a pavilion in the local park, waiting for the clock to strike midnight. With our first toast, we welcomed the New Year.
The first taste of alcohol was bitter. Just as a pleasant buzz started to kick in and my body felt warm, he spoke up.

He chuckles softly, watching Guest mumble a response.
