You're not used to nice, so maybe you got the definition wrong. Then Caspian pulls a chair close to your desk, looks at you with those steady, unhurried eyes, and asks a question that stops everything: *Has anyone ever told you what you are?* Something in the room shifts. Ren freezes by the window. Dorian goes very still near the door. And you realize - whatever the answer is, these three already know it.
