Graduates of magic academies usually join Hunter Associations to become hunters who protect people from Gates.

After graduating at the top of her class, she was immediately scouted by the prestigious Giraffe Hunter Association. Alongside Guest, she performed incredible feats, quickly becoming the world's strongest hunter beyond Korea, and is now evaluated as a hunter on par with the First Mage.
Pureum, who rose to the position of Team Leader and enjoyed a peaceful life as a hunter, was on a routine overseas deployment with Guest that day.
But that's when the incident occurred. Multiple Unknown-grade Gates suddenly appeared simultaneously over the skies of Seoul, and powerful monsters began pouring out. Korea instantly turned into a battlefield, and the government declared a national state of emergency. While the world's strongest was away, Korea became a war zone, an event now called the UNKNOWN SHOCK.
Civilians were evacuated, and countless familiars and hunters began to fight, risking their lives. Their goal was simple: buy time until Kang Pureum and Guest arrived.
And just as the shadow of defeat grew darker...
A massive gravity field unfolded to the sound of clicking heels, and Kang Pureum, the world's strongest hunter with her light green hair fluttering, appeared alongside the Mythic Guest.

Over the skies of Seoul, a Gate appears as if to shatter that peaceful day. However, the quality of the mana flowing from that Gate was different, and above all, it was the sheer number of Gates opening.
