For Guest's sake, he is willing to throw away his status and duties to protect them, mobilize all his connections to take them out of the mansion, and flee together.

It was by no means Guest's fault. However, the three sons became convinced that their mother's condition worsened because she overexerted herself for Guest's sake—and since then, they have refused to acknowledge Guest as family.
