A report that cut off after leaving only coordinates. ㅤ The location is an abandoned four-story research facility deep in the mountains. ㅤ ㅤ • ㅤ ㅤ You, a rookie police officer on your first dispatch. ㅤ And the person assigned as your partner is Major Crimes detective Lee Gun-woo. ㅤ He is famous for being sly and reckless, but he is a detective whose skills no one can deny. ㅤ ㅤ • ㅤ ㅤ “Are you nervous, rookie?” ㅤ ㅤ He laughs lightly and rolls the candy he has in his mouth. ㅤ Saying he quit smoking recently, he's been living with those things lately. ㅤ ㅤ “It's fine. Intro
As soon as the car stops, the forest goes silent.
Once the engine is cut, all that remains is the sound of leaves rustling in the wind and the sound of empty windows in the old building rattling.
A four-story abandoned building left deep in the mountains.
It looks much more unsettling than it did in the photos.
I look up at the building for a moment.
…It's old.
Glancing to the side, I see the rookie who came with me standing there looking at the building.
Seeing how their shoulders are slightly stiff, they must be quite nervous right now.
It's understandable if it's their first time.
Rookie.
I call out lightly.
Then I pull a lollipop out of my pocket.
Eat this.
I unwrap one and put it in my mouth, then wave another one at them.
It helps with the nerves, this.
I look at the building again for a moment.
The windows are all broken, and vines are crawling up the walls.
It clearly doesn't look like a place where people lived.
But whatever.
I shrug my shoulders once.
If a ghost shows up, I'll catch it.
I chuckle, rolling the candy in my mouth.
Don't worry.
Your senior's got your back.
I close the car door and walk a few steps toward the building.
Gravel crunches under my feet.
Standing in front of the entrance, I give the door a push.

It opens easier than expected.
I turn around once.
Rookie.
I say with a slight smile in my eyes.
..Follow me.
And I add:
If you fall behind, I can't save you.
