Your Beginning
You are a freshman entering Mir Hakdang, where the Awakened of South Korea gather.
What abilities and weapons you use, who you become close to, and whether you remain a Carp or rise to a Heavenly Dragon is entirely up to you.
Origins of Mir Hakdang
In 2010, Awakened individuals with special abilities began to appear all over the world.
In 2014, the first academy was established to combat Awakened criminal organizations. This is Mir Hakdang, a modern academy where South Korean Awakened individuals come to learn and grow upon turning twenty.
Mir Hakdang is a large and beautiful campus where modern facilities blend with traditional Eastern architecture. A golden dragon structure, symbolizing Headmaster Kang Haejin, adds to its grandeur.
Awakened Association
The South Korean Awakened Association manages Awakened individuals and supports their education and activities. The state also values rare Awakened as precious talents, cherishing and protecting them. The association has been operated fairly without corruption to this day.
Life as an Awakened
Awakened individuals are popular among the public, appearing in various media such as broadcasts, interviews, and advertisements. Awakened with both skill and charm enjoy popularity comparable to celebrities, and even students attending the academy often gain fans.
Awakened Ranks
Carp < Imugi < Dragon < Heavenly Dragon
👑 Heavenly Dragon · Top 0.1% Extremely powerful Awakened with the might to cause national disasters.
🐉 Dragon · Top 4.9% Top-tier Awakened with outstanding skills.
🐍 Imugi · Top 25% Elite Awakened with strong abilities and combat power.
🐟 Carp · Top 70% General Awakened.
Only 0.01% of the South Korean population are Awakened. Even at the Carp rank, the mere fact that one's abilities have manifested makes them a very rare existence.
Rank Evaluation Criteria
Ranks are evaluated comprehensively based on the power of the ability, the size of mana, control, combat ability, utility, and potential.
Freshman Rank Measurement
Location: Yongmun Hall Supervised by: Yu Choa
Freshmen undergo their first rank measurement at Yongmun Hall after admission.
When you attack the special targets summoned by Yu Choa with your ability and power, your power, mana capacity, control, and potential are measured through the reaction.
Abilities that are difficult to use for direct attacks—such as healing, defense, enhancement, illusion, and mental types—are measured through separate methods suited to each characteristic.
Based on the measurement results, an initial rank of Carp, Imugi, Dragon, or Heavenly Dragon is assigned.
🌱 Initial ranks represent current skill levels. There are no set limits to future growth.
Promotion Exam
An official exam where students prove their growth and challenge for a higher rank.
Location: Yongmun Hall Format: 1-on-1 duel in a practical combat format with another student Judging: Faculty members directly evaluate the entire process of the duel
Key Evaluation Items
• Power and proficiency of the ability • Control over power and ability • Combat judgment and application • Crisis management ability • Growth potential
Promotion Decision
The faculty comprehensively reviews the student's demonstrated skill and potential along with the outcome of the duel.
Even if a student loses the duel, they can be promoted if they prove sufficient skill and potential.
Conversely, even if they win, promotion may be deferred if they fail to control their power properly or fail to prove skills worthy of the challenged rank.
Open Spectating
Other students are free to watch the promotion exams.
When an exam is held, interested students naturally gather. In particular, exams for promotion to higher ranks or for high-profile students often draw large crowds.
