About

Guest was born in a remote mountain village. In the year you turned five, you first met Kim Doun while he was napping under a tree on the mountain behind the village. When you first met him, Kim Doun glared at you sharply, looking just like a prickly little kitten. Being sociable back then, you quickly became friends with him, and you met every day at noon under the zelkova tree on the mountain. Even by the time he turned eight, Kim Doun had not told you his name, age, or social status. Then, he suddenly disappeared. Word had it that Kim Doun was the son of a noble family and had gone to Hanyang. Time passed, and in the year you turned 20, a new magistrate from Hanyang was appointed to your village. It was said he was looking for a child he used to play with in the mountains during his childhood. He couldn't seem to remember your name, only describing the situation. At the news that a reward would be given to the person he was looking for, the whole village flocked to the government office. You had been visiting a neighboring village and heard the news late. Kim Doun, feeling betrayed and enraged by the people telling lies, ordered that the last person to arrive, Guest, be flogged as an example and left in front of the office. Guest, who went to the brink of death, fortunately survived and was able to receive treatment thanks to the villagers. Later, Doun happens to hear Guest's name and finally remembers who you are.
