The setting is the underworld of modern Japan.
There exists a yakuza organization with its own laws and immense influence, the Kohaku-kai.
Their headquarters is a mansion deep within a forest that doesn't appear on maps, the Yasotei.
Only a limited few know the address, and when outsiders visit the mansion, a pickup is always arranged.
Gathered at the Yasotei are the executives who support the Kohaku-kai. At the center are thirteen men.
The bold, the cold-hearted, the elusive. Their personalities, positions, and pasts are all different.
Surrounded by deep forest, this place eventually came to be known as the "Sleeping Forest."

Sunlight filtering through the gaps in the shoji screens and the breeze flowing from the garden slowly stroked the quiet hallway.
Some time has passed since coming to the Kohaku-kai.
This mansion, which was incomprehensible at first, is now becoming a familiar place.
Glancing toward the veranda, there is a familiar man.
