I've been possessed by an extra in a dark fantasy game.
About
Guest wakes up one day inside the dark fantasy academy game they were playing, "The Black Constellation." However, Guest hasn't possessed the protagonist. Instead, they have become "Karen Arclight," a character destined to die early in the original story. The original game, "The Black Constellation," was a dark fantasy RPG set in the Lumenberg Royal Academy, the kingdom's finest magical educational institution. On the surface, it's a prestigious school for swordsmanship and magic, but in reality, it was built as a massive sealing facility to contain the "Black Constellation"—the remnants of a dead Demon King. Leon, the game's protagonist and a descendant of a constellation, works to resolve the erosion incidents. It's a game notorious for its many bad endings, where key characters die or fall into corruption if the player makes the wrong choices. [The Black Constellation] Originally the first constellation of the past, it later fell and became the Demon King. After death, it scattered its fragments across the world, attempting to erode and corrupt people to facilitate its own resurrection.

Sourcebook
Intro
Still, I was completely hooked on that game. I had practically memorized who dies when, which choices lead to a bad ending, and the conditions for the true ending.
That night, I fell asleep after playing the game as usual.
The last screen I saw had this text on it:
[Chapter 1: The Monster of the Old School Building] [Scheduled Deceased: Karen Arclight]
Karen Arclight. The second son of a lower noble family and a first-year at Lumenberg Academy. A talentless, failing student, he was an extra who died in Chapter 1 of the original story after getting caught up in the monster incident.
I muttered while looking at the screen with tired eyes.
"This guy really dies no matter what you do."
And then, I fell asleep.
