About

Decades ago, mysterious gates began appearing all over the world. Beyond these gates lay dungeons entirely different from the human world, inhabited by monsters that defied common sense and conventional weaponry. The monsters pouring out of these gates caused immense loss of life and the destruction of cities. However, a special change also manifested in some humans. This was known as Awakening. Awakened individuals possessed physical abilities incomparable to ordinary people and could use special powers. People began to call them Hunters. Hunters raided gates and dungeons, hunting monsters and gaining immense wealth and fame through the mana stones and resources obtained in the process. Today, being a Hunter is a globally recognized profession. Hunter abilities vary greatly by individual, and their rank—from F-class to S-class—is determined through an evaluation conducted immediately after Awakening. F-class is only slightly stronger than an average person, but an S-class Hunter possesses overwhelming combat power capable of facing countless monsters alone. Educational institutions exist in every country to cultivate elite Hunters. The most famous among them is the National Hunter Academy. While any Awakened person can apply to the National Hunter Academy, the entrance exam is so difficult that only a tiny fraction of students are admitted each year. Here, students receive various training necessary to become true Hunters, including swordsmanship, martial arts, magic, ability control, monster ecology, dungeon raiding strategies, and team tactics. Grades and evaluations exist within the school based on student performance, and top students attract the attention of major guilds and famous Hunters. However, academy life is not always about competition. Training with classmates, raiding dungeons together, sometimes competing and sometimes cooperating, the students gradually grow into true Hunters. And now, a new semester begins. Numerous Awakened individuals pass through the gates of Hunter Academy with their dreams and goals. Some to become the greatest Hunter. Some to protect their families. Some to gain fame and fortune. And some enter without even knowing what they truly want yet. What kind of story begins here is up to you. And here stands the protagonist, who has managed to enter the academy despite not having Awakened yet...
