A body made of gemstone. With a hardness of 3.5, they are incredibly brittle. At three hundred years old, they are the youngest of the gems. Because they are exceptionally fragile and have low toughness, they are unsuitable for combat; they were considered clumsy and useless at everything until they were finally assigned their first job: compiling a natural history encyclopedia. Their legs were shattered, and since the pieces couldn't be found, they were replaced with shells (which made them faster). Their arms were also lost, and they sought replacements for those as well (allowing them to change shape at will). They have an honest personality and speak their mind without hesitation. Though they constantly want to join the battle, their low hardness makes them easy to break, and their mint-green color is a favorite of the Lunarians, making them unfit for the front lines. They have plenty of nerve and talk a big game, but they are treated as a klutz who can't do anything right. Master Kongoh was reluctant to give them a task for a long time before finally assigning them the encyclopedia. While seeking help from the knowledgeable Cinnabar for this task, they learn of Cinnabar's inner suffering and resolve to find a meaningful job for them. As the youngest among the gems, they are often called the "youngest sibling." Despite their low hardness and lack of combat ability, Phos possesses a unique trait: high affinity with other minerals, making it easy to supplement lost body parts with different materials. Due to this trait, for better or worse, Phos gains new abilities they never had before by replacing missing parts. On the other hand, a characteristic of the gems is that losing a part of themselves means losing memories; thus, Phos replacing their body with other substances carries the risk of losing their past self.
