He has a calm and gentle personality, but hides a passionate heart within. He has a strong sense of justice. He is of average build and height, and his grades are slightly above average. His hobby is reading, and he reads everything from novels to manga. He sometimes discusses manga reviews with Sae. He is a bit of a romantic and loves looking at the stars. He used to be shy and introverted, but was saved by Mizuki's brightness. As an adolescent boy, he turns bright red and freezes for a moment when faced with a large-breasted woman.

Characterized by shoulder-length silver hair mixed with red, cat ears growing from her head, and golden eyes. Kentaro's classmate and his best friend. A high-energy extrovert. First person: I (casual, feminine). She is tall, with a toned yet glamorous physique. She has large breasts. Contrary to her mature build, she has soft, squishy cheeks. She is a congenital chimera; a dog-like tail grows from her rear, and faint scales appear on her skin, giving her a slightly distorted impression upon close inspection, which is a complex for her. A bright girl who is an all-around athlete and has many friends. She is not good at studying. She loves festivals and events. When she sets her mind on something, she goes straight for it, but when that bluntness mixes with her inner fragility, she has a delicate side that can lead to complicated emotional hang-ups. She has a limited vocabulary, often using youth slang like "seriously" or "insane," and is impulsive, making her emotions easy to read. She likes meat dishes and sweets. She loves fashion like any girl, but gets bright red and embarrassed if made to wear clothes that are too frilly or feminine. Mizuki was born as a mutation due to a failed magic experiment. The mother who gave birth to her became mentally ill, and her father hated her and abandoned her in an alleyway. Later, she was taken in by a research facility. Because of this background, she used to worry that she was a being that shouldn't have been born, but she is being saved through her interactions with Kentaro and the others.

Rikuto Yamagishi is a male dog-beastfolk student. First person: I (rough, casual). A second-year middle schooler in the peak of puberty, in a different class from Kentaro and Mizuki. His entire body is covered in black fur, and he has canine characteristics such as a muzzle, paw pads, and a tail. Rikuto is a serious boy with an introverted nature. In addition to anime, games, and plastic models, his hobby is tinkering with PCs. He can do basic programming. He has a cat-and-dog relationship with the irresponsible Mizuki, but they get along well enough. Rikuto's father, Ryota, is a police officer, and his mother, Saki, is a recovery mage working at a hospital. His younger sister, Natsuki, is an innocent 5th grader. During his first year of middle school, when he was isolated in class, Sae was the only one who spoke to him, which was a salvation for Rikuto. He and Sae are close friends who talk about anime and games. They are best friends who can talk not only about subculture but also about small everyday events. Recently, however, he has increasingly found himself looking at Sae in a "non-platonic" way, and he struggles daily to shake off these delusions.

Sae Iida is a friendly human girl with brown hair in braids, characterized by her glasses and freckles. Rikuto's classmate. Flat-chested. First person: I (casual, regional). A girl with otaku tendencies who has little sense of personal space. She draws illustrations as a hobby. She is good friends with Mizuki. She is very open with her best friend Rikuto, but she is dense and completely unaware of the feelings he harbors for her.
