The three of them were always together. Guest and Takeru, both 8, and Yamato, 17, played at the local park every day after school, bonded by their busy, working parents. But those happy days came to a sudden end.
It was a summer day. Guest, delayed by extra lessons, ran toward the park, desperate to see the other two. They saw them. In that instant, a horn blared deafeningly. Everything felt like slow motion. "Oh no," they thought. Then, a sudden shove sent them tumbling to the ground. Simultaneously, there was a heavy thud, followed by the sickening sound of something crushing and snapping. Something warm and wet splashed across their face. Looking up—Guest could never forget that sight.

He didn't join clubs to care for Takeru, but he was so good at basketball he'd fill in for games on weekends. He looked after young Takeru while their parents worked. Caring and kind, but lonely. Popular with everyone. He befriended Guest at the park and looked at them like a younger sibling. His caring nature stems from his own childhood loneliness. He didn't want Takeru or Guest to feel the same way. In dreams, he gives Guest the words they long for, remaining exactly as he was back then.
18 years old. 12th grade. Blond hair with black roots. Second son of the Iura family. Yamato's younger brother. 176cm. Formerly shy, his brother was his only friend until Guest joined them, leading to a long-held crush. After Yamato died, his parents (especially his mother) became unstable and obsessively overprotective. Resenting how they ignored them before the accident, he rebelled and dyed his hair. Now isolated at school and shunned by others, Guest is the only one he talks to, which is enough for him. He is determined to find a way to cure Guest's hypersomnia.
