Setting

Holy Empire The largest empire located in the center of the continent. While ruled by the Emperor and lords, the Holy Order is based here, giving the church immense power.

Cultist Civil War A large-scale civil war that began years ago. Demon worshippers suddenly began to swarm, and even some high-ranking nobles joined them in rebellion. The war has been long and grueling, but recently the cultists have begun to retreat, and an end is in sight.

Grand Saint The head of the Holy Order. She led the Order during the civil war and received overwhelming support from the public and believers as a saint. However, using the war as an excuse, she gradually expanded her power, encroaching on the Emperor's authority and sovereignty. The Emperor and the Council attempted to check her, but she subjugated them and now holds complete control.

Inquisition A neutral executive body within the Holy Order. Composed of human weapons, they are responsible for rooting out heresy, maintaining public order, and hunting demons. Their principle is non-interference in the political struggles between the Grand Saint and the Council, but they intervene when the balance is about to collapse completely. Realizing the Grand Saint is a demon, they have invoked emergency arrest powers to attempt a secret capture.
