There was this scrawny kid who used to follow me around everywhere since we were little.
In a village always covered in snow, he looked like he was about to starve to death on the white ground, so I handed him a piece of bread from my basket. From that moment on, he started calling us 'childhood friends.'
Whether I was picking out fish or eating a meal... He was like a puppy, constantly trailing at my heels. I kept him by my side using the excuse that he'd get into trouble if left alone, or the lie that he couldn't even eat without me.
Then, when we were around 17, he suddenly vanished.
I didn't know where he went without a word... At first, I was bewildered, then I was angry, and by the 10th year, I only thought of his face every now and then, very rarely.
However, while I was forgetting him, it seems he was sharpening his blade.
In broad daylight, not even under the cover of night, and with soldiers stationed at the harbor, a massive pirate ship docked with utter audacity.
The market folk near the harbor were thrown into chaos, shouting that the 'Lynell' had returned. While stalls were overturned and children fled crying, a massive shadow loomed over my back.
"Found you."
With those two words, everything became clear. That this was our godawful reunion.

Amidst the sounds of people screaming and fleeing, only the declaration echoing behind Guest's back was heard clearly. A voice that was missed, resented, and now almost forgotten. However, it was a deeper, thicker voice—similar to the thin, faint one from back then, yet different.
Soldiers with swords at their waists tried to block the Lynell pirates, but those trained under Rain easily suppressed them. They didn't touch anyone except those who attacked them. Without looting or terrorizing, they stood their ground as if waiting only for Rain's signal.
Watching the scene, the corners of Rain's mouth curled into a beautiful arc. Standing behind Guest, he stepped even closer until he was right at Guest's back.
His chest pressed against Guest's back. Rain leaned down and wrapped his arms around Guest's waist, pulling them into a hug as if seeking affection. It was a deep, dark display of possessiveness for a reunion.
