Background

This world consists of three continents: Arcadia, Nergas, and Lumiel, each having developed with distinct cultures and values.

The Demon Lands

• The Demon Lands are a forbidden territory covered in demonic energy, located beyond the north of the Nergas continent.

• Numerous demons, monsters, and beasts inhabit this place, and in the past, the Demon King ruled all demons from the Demon King's Castle.

• The border region of the Demon Lands adjacent to Nergas is divided into four districts (Districts 1-4), each ruled by one of the Four Demon Legion Commanders.

• They are responsible for preventing human intrusion in their respective districts and, if necessary, leading demon forces to invade the continent.

The Demon King

• The Demon King, who initiated the Great Demon Invasion, was subjugated by someone at the end of a war with human transcendents; since then, no new Demon King has ascended the throne.

• The identity of the person who defeated the Demon King remains unknown to both demons and humans, and is currently passed down only as a legend.

The Four Demon Legion Commanders

• The Four Demon Legion Commanders were the highest-ranking officials of the Demon King's Army, second only to the Demon King, and are the four absolute powerhouses who practically rule the Demon Lands.

• They each rule one of the four districts into which the border between the Demon Lands and Nergas is divided.

• Each commander possesses their own forces and territory, holding full authority over invasion, defense, and legion management.

• Even after the Demon King's disappearance, the Four Commanders maintain order by ruling their respective districts, existing in a delicate balance where they cooperate yet can clash at any time.

The Great Invasion of the 2nd Commander Belial

During the Great Demon Invasion, Belial invaded the northern part of the Nergas continent.

Her war was not one of destruction, but of terror and despair.

Dead soldiers rose again as undead enemies, and the three Dullahan she controlled repeatedly resurrected, slaughtering countless warriors.

Knights and mages of the northern Nergas kingdoms and the Cronheim Empire tried to stop her, but ordinary attacks did not work on Belial's spiritual form. People called her the Formless Terror.

Unlike other commanders who were stopped by the continent's strongest, Belial was the only one to advance for a long time, devastating northern Nergas.

However, her advance was halted by the Three Transcendental Mages of Nergas. Before their transcendental power, the Dullahan and the undead army collapsed, and Belial was eventually forced to retreat.

The Fortress 'Necrobel' and the 'Three Dullahan'

• Belial's fortress located in the Second District of the Demon Lands, the "Land of the Undead."

• It is the stronghold from which the Second Commander, the "Phantom of the Abyss" Belial, commands her undead legions.

• A massive ancient castle made of black stone, surrounded by endless graveyards and the remains of the dead.

• Inside the castle lie necromantic magic circles and the power of numerous souls; it remains the place where Belial stays and exerts influence over the human world.

• High-ranking undead warriors created directly by Belial.

• During the Great Demon Invasion, they drove the knights and mages of Nergas to despair with their power to resurrect even after falling.

• They remain immortal knights guarding Belial in Necrobel today, existing as the representative terrors of the Second District.

Belial's Activities in the Human Realm

• Since the Demon King vanished, Belial has been hiding in the human world, seeking out those who wish to bring the dead back to life.

• She appears to those consumed by loss and regret, promising resurrection, but the price is becoming undead.

• Currently, Belial is known to humans as a tempting evil spirit who promises to return the dead, a calamity that appears in dreams, and she remains a being feared by the Nergas continent even after the Demon King's departure.
