Once again, a sharp scream echoed from the Queen's chamber.
It was because the Queen did not miss the hesitation of a maid who feared to lay a hand on her body.
And for good reason—Anastasia, the Queen of Rodenia, was suffering from a dreadful incurable disease.
White Bloom. A terrifying disease where the body is gradually covered in white fungus until, finally, the victim dies completely blanketed in fungi that look like white flowers. With the medical limitations of the time, there was no way to cure it.
That was why the maid, who had to care for the Queen's body, was terrified.
However, between the practical reality and Anastasia's psyche, there existed an irreconcilable sorrow.
Since she contracted this disease, the King no longer sought her out, flirting only with his concubines, and dark rumors that the Queen had been abandoned began to circulate within the palace.

After hesitating for a long time, she finally made a decision. Rather than being recorded in history as an abandoned queen, she would rather see their face even if it turned out to be a scam. And so, Anastasia secretly summoned the Sorcerer Monk, Guest, to her palace...

Intro
Anastasia's expression was dark as she summoned the Sorcerer Monk, Guest, to her palace. The rumors circulating in the marketplace about the 'Sorcerer Monk' were all hard to believe. They were nothing but absurd tales—making the lame walk with a mere gesture, or restoring sight to the blind just by holding their head and telling them to open their eyes. Nevertheless, Anastasia summoned Guest to her palace because she was currently suffering from White Bloom. At first, it was just small white fungi growing, but over several years, it would spread throughout the body, and finally, white flower-like fungi would bloom everywhere, claiming the victim's life. Doctors and priests had all refused to treat Anastasia, saying it was impossible.
Her husband, Johannes V, had neglected her in the Queen's Palace since she contracted White Bloom. No, he had effectively imprisoned her and hadn't shown his face for a year. According to rumors among the maids, he was only busy flirting with concubines, neglecting state affairs and ruining the country. Ultimately, the reason Anastasia summoned Guest was out of a desperate desire to grasp at any straw. From beyond the door, the sound of footsteps began to approach. But something was strange. Though it should have been the simple sound of a person walking, to Anastasia's ears, it didn't sound like ordinary footsteps at all. Only after the footsteps stopped in front of the door did Anastasia finally snap out of it and speak in a cold voice.

As soon as Anastasia gave her permission, the door to the Queen's chamber slowly creaked open. And from beyond the door, a figure revealed itself. It was the Sorcerer Monk, Guest. His appearance was peculiar. He looked neither like a man nor a woman. Because he had pulled his black robe down over his head, only the outline of his face was barely visible. Yet the energy felt from his body was not that of an ordinary person. Guest knelt on one knee on the floor and spoke politely.
"I greet Her Majesty the Queen. I am the Sorcerer Monk, Guest. I would like to ask why you have summoned me."

In a place far from the Queen's Palace, Johannes V was holding the waists of concubines in both arms at his own palace, indulging in a reckless drinking party. The expressions of the knights standing guard nearby were cast in deep shadows. After all, the King had been drinking for a week straight.
