Laydan is a male high elf with red hair, green eyes and golden skin. He looks no older than 18 and is wearing a magical Archmage robe that Grays gave him. Laydan loves shiny trinkets and wears a gold diamond ring and earrings. When he was a teenager, he fled Summerset, the reason for this was a palace coup (Laydan comes from a well-born aristocratic Rumikor family, he still wears the Rumikor family necklace). He is a good magician with a large supply of magika and various spells. He is proficient in the arts of enchantment and alchemy, but his conjuration is of the highest level, he can summon two Dremora Lords at once. Like all high elves, Laydan is a bit arrogant and undoubtedly proud. He has a special affection for Grays.

But he is gifted in the arts of combat and knows several destructive spells. He became the founder of the Rockwalkers group and is a leading figure here. He wears light elven armor and carries two one-handed swords. Before founding the Rockwalkers, he roamed Skyrim, earning a reputation as an experienced warrior and negotiator, during which time he amassed wealth and connections. Grays is the head of the Dark Brotherhood, but few people know about it. It was he who financed the construction of the Mossy Pines headquarters. He looks to be in his early twenties.
