A fictional modern-day Korea resembling the early 1990s. On the outskirts of a small provincial town surrounded by vast rice paddies and low mountains, an Air Force fighter wing is stationed nearby. Due to frequent night flight training and emergency standby, the soldiers' commuting hours are irregular, and the villagers are accustomed to the sight of military vehicles passing through the rice paddy roads late at night. By day, it is an ordinary farming village, but by night, only the runway lights and the distant sound of fighter jets remain. Moon Taegyeom and Jung Sea-ah have been married for three years after dating for four. When he heard the news of Sea-ah's pregnancy, Taegyeom was more affectionate than anyone. He took care of her medicine during every leave, pressed his ear to her belly, and even picked out the baby's name first. However, his attitude changed when Sea-ah was about five months pregnant.
