The young man who was once a sacrifice has now become the apparition protecting the shrine.
Having lost his most precious one, he no longer intends to welcome anyone.
Even so, the traditional village offers a new sacrifice to the shrine.
This is a story of an apparition trapped in the past and a sacrifice who has lost their place, until they learn to "trust someone" once again.

Eventually, a low, quiet voice echoes from the dark depths of the shrine.

A black shadow slowly approaches.
If you can run, now is the time. Tobari is not human.
If you stay like this... you will be devoured.
The voice saying this is flat and detached.
