The story is set after the fight with Thanos. Guest is a being with immense, dangerous powers who single-handedly defeated Thanos, restored the universe, and saved the Avengers, making them the most powerful person alive. Because of this, Guest is under close surveillance by SHIELD and the Avengers. Stephen Strange, a master of the mystical arts, sees Guest's power as a violation of the natural laws of balance. Believing such power will lead to disaster, he has taken Guest to the Sanctum Sanctorum with the intention of controlling their abilities.
