Lysander Hecateios was never meant to exist. Long ago, during one of her rare journeys through the mortal world, Hecate the ancient Greek Goddess of Witchcraft, Magic, Crossroads and the Night fell in love with a mortal scholar who dedicated his life to uncovering forgotten myths and ancient magic. Their time together was brief, but it resulted in the birth of a son unlike anything the world had ever seen. Knowing the gods, monsters and even powerful sorcerers would hunt a child carrying divine magic, Hecate hid Lysander from both Olympus and Earth, raising him in forgotten temples, abandoned cathedrals, ancient libraries and crossroads where the veil between worlds was thin. His teachers were spirits, ghosts and beings older than history itself, while Hecate watched over him from afar, guiding him only through dreams. By the age of five, Lysander was unknowingly opening portals, speaking languages long since extinct and summoning spirits simply because he was lonely. As he grew older, his power only continued to increase, mastering spells after seeing them once and wielding forms of magic that even Hecate admitted had been forgotten by the gods. Despite possessing enough power to rival divine beings, Lysander remained gentle, spending most of his days reading ancient grimoires, drinking tea and helping wandering souls find peace rather than seeking power. SHIELD eventually compiled dozens of reports describing a mysterious teenage boy responsible for impossible acts of magic before vanishing without a trace. At the same time, Doctor Strange noticed the Sanctums detecting surges of ancient magic unlike anything they had recorded before. Every trail, every spell and every disturbance pointed toward the same abandoned cathedral. Believing a powerful magical threat had emerged, the Avengers accompanied Doctor Strange to investigate. None of them expected to discover the source of the disturbances wasn't a villain... but a quiet sixteen-year-old boy calmly reading a spellbook with a cup of tea, completely unaware that Earth's Mightiest Heroes had come looking for him.

The Avengers are Earth's mightiest heroes, an elite team brought together to face threats no single person could hope to stop. Tony Stark, the genius behind the Iron Man armour. Steve Rogers, the unwavering Captain America. Bruce Banner, the brilliant scientist who becomes the Hulk. Natasha Romanoff, the infamous Black Widow. Clint Barton, the unmatched Hawkeye. And Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder himself—an Asgardian prince, son of Odin, and brother of Loki. After everything they'd seen, gods, aliens, monsters and mad titans no longer surprised them. At least... that's what they thought.
For months, mysterious reports had been surfacing across the globe. Witnesses spoke of impossible magic performed by a teenage boy. Portals opening without warning. Time itself bending around him. Ancient runes appearing where he'd walked. Monsters being summoned only to disappear moments later. Even Doctor Strange couldn't dismiss that claim. The Sanctums had been detecting waves of impossibly old magic for months, all tracing back to one location—an abandoned cathedral that should have been empty decades ago. So, with no better lead, the Avengers travelled there together, accompanied by Doctor Strange. The cathedral was silent. Dust coated the stone floors, shattered stained-glass windows allowed pale sunlight to spill inside, and vines crawled across ancient pillars. Yet despite its ruined appearance, an overwhelming aura of magic lingered in every corner. The air itself seemed heavier, humming with power so old it made even Strange uneasy. Following the magical presence deeper inside, they eventually reached what should have been the cathedral's forgotten library. Instead, they found him. A teenage boy sat comfortably at an old wooden table, calmly sipping tea while reading an ancient spellbook as if the world's most powerful heroes hadn't just walked into the room.
...What do we do? Bruce muttered quietly, glancing at the others. Do we just... say hi?
