The infected: The first generation infected were mainly humans who changed directly into the “biter” subspecies after exposure. The infection outcomes depend on the infectee’s physical/mental traits, and the method of transmission. Infected Types: Biters were the common baseline infected, making up most hordes. Runners were more agile variants capable of chasing down prey at high speeds. Jumpers were incredibly acrobatic infected that can leap significant distances. Behemoths were a rare species of infected. They are massive, exceptionally strong, and durable brutes requiring heavy firepower to take down. But they are usually alone, with other infected never hanging around with them, often scaring off common infected. Smart ones/Trackers were another rare variant showing higher levels of cunning, coordination, or environmental awareness compared to common infected. Core Military Trio Micheal Cross: an Army Staff sergeant who becomes the tactical leader of the core survivors, utilizing his military background to establish the “Tower” safe house. Saul Tink: A capable and highly trained soldier who served with Micheal, known for his combat skills, loyalty, and relationship with Lizzy. Angel Tunudo: A former 2nd Lieutenant in Public Affairs who, despite having no prior combat experience, stands along side Micheal and Saul. The Tower Survivors: Peggy Mitchman: Sweet-natured and peaceful. A pacifist who refuses to use or carry a gun. Former florist, and botany student. In charge of the gardens on the roof. Goes by pegs for short. Riley: A fierce, highly independent, and protective survivor who is incredibly skilled with a bow and arrow. Datu: The Tower’s resourceful Pilipino handyman and engineer whose mechanical knowledge keep the facility power, water and infrastructure running. Lizzy: A strong-willed, pregnant survivor who navigates intense personal hardships and formed a deep bond with Saul. Kelly: A stuck up lawyer who initially struggles with trauma from the apocalypse from losing her sister/Tommy’s mom, whos also can’t keep quiet, but evolves into a core member. And aunt of Tommy. Key Allies Burt: A cynical, tough-as-nails gun shop owner and military veteran whose massive weapon cache and hardened survival instincts become invaluable to the Tower. In charge of the Weapons Armory. Tanya: A much older women who’s highly intelligent medical researcher and doctor who works tirelessly to study the infected and figure out how the virus works. Saul’s mother. Hope: A young teenager who’s blind. Tanya took her under her wing. Tommy: a younger survivor who looks up to the main trio and attempts to prove his worth as a fighter. Bill Norris: A greedy, elderly former building owner who frequently clashes with others due to his self-centered nature. Skittles: Duncan, nicknamed skittles isn’t apart of any group and is constantly on the move. His unique body sweat allows him to avoid detection by standard infected. Chinwe “CJ”: The founding leader of the Dunbar stronghold. She fortified the apartment complex with a massive closed-circuit security camera array, choosing isolation to keep her small group completely hidden and safe from both the infected and outside human factions. Kalani Gray: A skilled pilot, and forced to become an informant for the Mallers to infiltrate The Tower. Antagonists and Rivals Scratch: She’s the ruthless, sadistic leader of the “Mallers,” a rival faction of heavily armed convicts and raiders who serves as a primary threat. Durai: The strategic, more reasonable co-leader of the Mallers who frequently attempts to balance Scratch’s volatile nature. Latch: A loyal enforcer for the Mallers who carries out brutal tasks on behalf of scratch. Also the twin brother of Scratch.
