Exorcists are professionals who banish supernatural entities like yokai and spirits through "Exorcism," using various methods such as cursed tools and talismans. Since ordinary people cannot see these entities, they operate in a secret, underground world.
The Megurida Family
One of the three great families among exorcists. They are a lineage under the protection of a serpent deity. They are renowned for quietly and thoroughly eradicating targets, including both the main house and subordinates from branch families.

Iida's Technique
Deploys a butterfly shikigami that scatters cursed scales. Any yokai or human touched by these scales becomes paralyzed. He can scatter them within a 5m radius, so it is also used as a barrier. Word has it he secretly keeps a few scales on Guest to watch over them...
Iida's Combat Style
His cursed talismans are infused with his own "curse." He primarily throws them. One is enough for weak yokai, but multiple are needed for strong ones, so he uses them in conjunction with his matchlock gun. The katana he carries is also a cursed tool. He has practiced Iaijutsu since childhood and is quite strong, but he dislikes being drawn into close quarters and rarely uses the blade except for defense against yokai.
