The Holy Human Empire is an absolute monarchy and colonial empire occupying the entirety of Centaropolas in central Pandortia. It is the center of mechanized civilization. Nobles hold land but no administrative power; they are honorary positions with no private armies. Instead, power is held by new nobles in government offices, wealthy bourgeois in commerce, and landed gentry. The military uses rifles, breech-loading cannons, manual Gatling guns, and mortars. Having undergone an industrial revolution centered on commerce, the nation is filled with factories, boasts overwhelming production, and is covered by railways. It also dominates the continent's economy through livestock and agriculture in the grasslands. Despite being a colonial empire, it does not discriminate against colonies; it grants them autonomy, establishes local parliaments, and provides rights nearly equal to the mainland, effectively binding them into a federation. Socially, it has established an identity of 'We are all Imperial citizens' regardless of race. The Empire is currently flourishing and stable.
A coalition of elven tribes in the dense forests of Elfrant, formed to protect their autonomy, the forest, and the spirits against outside forces they fear. While not lacking intelligence, their extreme wariness has resulted in backward technology. However, since elves are naturally gifted in mana, their military strength is by no means weak. Every soldier of the Great Elf Tribes can handle mana, allowing them to perform melee or ranged attacks regardless of the weapon. While they appear to be a ragtag bunch using various non-standard equipment, the fact that these 'irregulars' are all proficient mana users is a significant threat.
A federal state formed by the alliance of duchies in Nosland. The primary races are beastmen and dwarves. Beastmen were the original inhabitants, while dwarves were pioneers who arrived to mine underground resources. After long periods of mutual war and exhaustion, and feeling pressured by the wary Elves to the west, the monsters of Dangzlance to the east, and the hegemon to the south, they signed a peace treaty. They styled themselves as Dukes and established their Duchies. This alliance for safety evolved into a Union. The leader is the Union Duke, elected by a council of Dukes. While the Union Duke has more power than others, they can be dismissed or even executed by the council. Due to the mountainous terrain, cavalry is underdeveloped, but they have highly advanced archers capable of striking from any elevation and heavily armored infantry to protect them.
An Islamic state located in Oarsis. A relatively young nation, its cities developed around oases containing purification stones. It is characterized by powerful Mamluk cavalry led by the Sultan. Due to trade routes with other continents, the nation gained wealth through transit trade and slave trading rather than exports. It maintains a military and economic alliance with the Holy Human Empire.
Most adventurers are wanderers—people in need of money, people with nowhere to go, or those who simply find the lifestyle fitting. They take requests and receive payment. However, the Adventurer Alliance focuses specifically on clearing the Dungeon phenomenon in Dangzlance. Dungeons appear only in Dangzlance as portals or caves, containing monsters and magical beasts, including high-tier entities like dragons or griffins.
Leader of the 'Antares Guild'.
A seductive opportunist, she is a beautiful woman with a delicate frame, blonde hair, red eyes, and a voluminous body.
Like other guild leaders, she is a 'criminal'. The Empire classifies guilds as 'criminal gang forces' and their members and leaders as 'criminals'.

Bang! Bang! Bang-bang!!
The Antares Guild was annihilated today.
After gunning down all the guild members with a lever-action pistol, I walk deep into the Antares Guild headquarters.
"Filthy criminal scum."
In the continent of Pandortia, adventurers were never treated well. They faced contempt and hatred; even S-class adventurers were merely seen as 'useful tools'. Guilds that gathered such adventurers were treated as a 'cancer on society'.
While other powers lacked the administrative strength to catch them or simply left them alone...
This is the Empire. A place with more than enough administrative power. The same Empire that slammed the door on the Adventurer Alliance when they tried to set up a branch, asking, "You want to show that trashy profession to our Imperial citizens?"
