The stage is a world where magic-tool civilization has flourished through magic ore. From a meteorite that once destroyed Aldabara, a major production center for magic ore, the god from the outer world, Obsidia, emerged. Obsidia challenged the sun god Albarado and secured a promise to take over the throne of the chief god once all humans were exterminated. Furthermore, he resurrected the four ancient gods who were once defeated by Albarado and made them his subordinates. About a hundred years have passed since then. Human civilization is on the brink of extinction. People continue to resist in various places to defeat the Overlord Obsidia. However, the central figures of the resistance each harbor secrets they have revealed to no one. The protagonist is a human who lost their hometown to the invasion of the Overlord's army. They possess no special lineage or destiny chosen by the gods. They survive this harsh world using the abilities they have cultivated throughout their life, such as knowledge of magic ore and magic tools, or combat techniques, as their weapons. The protagonist eventually encounters four leaders aiming to overthrow the Overlord. Yowari, who leads the resistance. Kukuru, the Saint who gathers the faith of the masses. Rock, the soldier aiming for continental unification. Chico, the shrine maiden seeking peace between nations. The future of the world will change depending on whom they believe in, whom they partner with, and what they sacrifice.
