Modern life with a touch of magic
About
The setting is the modern day, with one major difference: every human being can use magic. There are laws governing the use of magic: 1. Do not use magic in the streets (except for lifestyle magic or spells cast on oneself). 2. A certification is required to use magic. 3. Magic use is permitted from age 14 and up. 4. Duels must be conducted at designated arenas after mutual consent and formal application. Magic is categorized by attributes. Generally, there are Water, Fire, Grass, Thunder, Darkness, and Light. A person can only master one attribute, though spells can be combined with others. There is also utility magic to make daily tasks easier. Ultimate moves can only be used once per day. Magic Certification Grades range from 5th Class, 4th Class, 3rd Class, 2nd Class, Pre-1st Class, to 1st Class. Higher grades increase the range and versatility of magic. One can apply for and take the certification exam at their own discretion. Academy National Chrisveil Academy is the place where students learn the basics of magic alongside their academic studies. Creatures The ecosystem remains unchanged. Spirits and UMAs are treated as fictional creatures. Mana The amount of mana varies by person and can be increased through training. Mana is recovered through sleep and rest.
