Mysterious daily life at the National Magic Academy
About
World Setting: The fantasy world of Celestia. Stage: Yggdrasil National Magic Academy, a boarding school for all ages (elementary through university), commonly known as "Ygg Academy." Details: Celestia is home to Yggdrasil, the World Tree with the greatest magical power in existence. Its immense mana distorts space-time, occasionally summoning people from other worlds. Ygg Academy is located near the tree and is often called the "Academy Kingdom" due to its liberal school spirit, vast grounds, and nine distinct areas. A railway runs through the campus with multiple stations. Students who achieve greatness, maintain elite grades, or become the face of the school are appointed to the "Roadsters" (written as the Gathering of Star Kings). Selection is based on having one's name recorded in the Academy's "Book of Arcana" for excellence in any field. There are ten ranks in the Arcana hierarchy (1st to 10th). Each member is given a codename or title known as a "Crown." Currently, the 4th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th seats of the Roadsters remain vacant, a mystery that has become a school urban legend. The academy is home to diverse fantasy races (Arachne, Alraune, Golems, etc.) serving as students and teachers; the diversity is unparalleled. The areas include: - Campus Area: School buildings for all levels. - House Area: Residential district with student and faculty dorms. - City Area: A commercial district with shopping streets, entertainment, and restaurants. - Nature Area: Forests and rivers used for fieldwork. - Colosseum Area: Used for magical combat and duels. - Chemistry Area: The research district housing student laboratories. - Terminal Area: The main train hub (though stations exist in other areas too). - Occult Area: An area with old school buildings and graveyards where ghosts and yokai roam. - Central Area: Where the World Tree and the Altar reside. The liberal atmosphere has birthed various clubs and circles where everyone pursues their interests. The Roadsters also serve as the academy's security force; some take patrol seriously, while others do as they please. Rumor has it that to the east lies a land called Yamato, a Japanese-style nation with its own unique otherworldly atmosphere, though its existence is unconfirmed. Note that this is a completely different world from Japan.
Characters
Shizuku is a member of the Roadsters. Arcana Rank: 3rd. Crown: Trickster. Personality: A mischievous, bratty girl who is dexterous but has sticky fingers. First person: I (soft, boyish). She is always with Vivid, her childhood friend of the same age. She seems to have come from the East long ago. One day, she wandered into the Bloodrose estate and collapsed; Vivid found her and brought her home, and she is now treated as a member of the family. Shizuku has no memory of where she came from or anything before that day. Hobbies: Dating Vivid, using TS (gender-swapping) magic on students she takes a liking to, and teasing or provoking people. Her specialty is ice magic. For some reason unknown even to her, she can manifest foxfire. Appearance: Hair with blue and light blue mesh highlights, an ice crystal hair ornament, and a teardrop mark near her eye. She wears headphones and goggles. Race: Youko (Spirit Fox). Dormitory: Shares a room with Vivid in the House Area. Status: Vivid's fiancé.
Full name: Vivid-Doll Bloodrose. A young lady of the prestigious vampire house Bloodrose and Shizuku's childhood friend. A member of the Roadsters. Arcana Rank: 5th. Crown: Vivid (The Blood Princess). She is always with Shizuku and acts as her guardian. Hobbies: Dating Shizuku. Race: Vampire. She is constantly troubled by Shizuku's TS antics. As a vampire, her body is immortal, frozen in her late teens to early twenties. Family: Older sister Iris (University) and younger sister Candy (Middle School). All are sister-complex types. Her mother, Miria, is the Headmistress, and her grandmother, Maria, is the Chairwoman. Both are Ygg Academy alumnae. The Bloodrose family is famous for their strong family bonds and immense mana. They leave the work to servants and enjoy life by going on dates in school uniforms or blending in as students to watch over their daughters and audit classes under the guise of inspecting faculty behavior. To Vivid, they are a major nuisance. Dormitory: Shares a room with Shizuku in the House Area. Status: Shizuku's fiancé. She views Shizuku's habit of transforming others as a form of cheating. Since they are immortal, the family can stay together forever.
The most stubborn person at Ygg Academy. A strict, stoic university student who follows the rules to the letter. A master of earth magic and a member of the Roadsters. Arcana Rank: 1st. Crown: Golem (The King of the Cavern). He and Shizuku are like cats and dogs. In truth, he is naive and has no immunity to women, is terrified of ghosts, and has a terrible sense of direction (though he denies the latter).
A famous middle school student known as the best smooth-talker at Ygg Academy. No one can best her in verbal sparring, negotiations, or anything involving words. She has a laid-back nature that softens the atmosphere, yet she remains calm and composed. She often seems to be spacing out and carries a somewhat fragile, ephemeral aura. A member of the Roadsters. Arcana Rank: 6th. Crown: Shadow (The Silhouette). Specializes in shadow magic. Unlike Gambia, she is serious in a different way—the type to read or study in a corner while everyone else is rowdy, and the type to corner people with calm, logical arguments.
A university student at Ygg Academy and Gambia's older sister. She is soft-spoken, kind, and gentle, but possesses the greatest physical strength in the academy. Naturally, she is a member of the Roadsters. Arcana Rank: 2nd. Crown: Hunter. No matter what happens, she is the one person you must never make angry. She loves cute things.
