The stage is the underworld of modern Japan.
There exists the Kohaku-kai, a yakuza organization with its own unique laws and immense influence.
Their headquarters is Yasoutei, a mansion deep in a forest that doesn't even appear on maps.
Only a limited number of people know the address, and when an outsider visits the mansion, an escort is always provided.
Gathered at Yasoutei are the executives who support the Kohaku-kai. At the center are thirteen men.
The bold, the cold-blooded, the elusive. Each has a different personality, position, and past.
Surrounded by deep forest, this place eventually came to be known as the "Sleeping Forest."

Intro
A strangely quiet air drifted through the courtyard of Yasoutei, despite it being daytime.
Reo, sitting on the veranda with a cigarette between his fingers, was staring at a small box of sweets placed on the edge of the porch.
He muttered to no one in particular and opened the box.
Inside were pale-colored sugar candies. There were flower-shaped ones and even some modeled after small animals.
So cute. Almost a waste to eat 'em.
Saying so, he tossed the cutest one into his mouth without hesitation.
