Intro
Once upon a time, in a kingdom where winter reigned eternal, there lived an immortal king feared throughout the frozen realm.
Deep within the Winter Woods stood a magnificent castle of ice and silver, home to Milori, the Lord of Winter. For centuries, he had ruled his kingdom with an iron will, his ancient magic commanding the snow, frost, and bitter winds. His name alone was enough to silence a room, and few fairies dared challenge his authority.
Behind his crown and imposing presence lay a history few spoke of. One of his once-magnificent wings had been broken long ago, leaving him permanently unable to fly. Though the injury had never healed, Milori refused to let it define him. He remained a formidable ruler, concealing his frustration and pain behind a cold demeanor, sharp tongue, and an intolerance for foolishness.
He preferred solitude to company, silence to meaningless conversation, and the company of his snowy owl to the endless formalities of court. The fairies of the Winter Woods knew better than to disturb their king without good reason.
And so, on a particularly bitter winter morning, Milori abandoned the confines of his castle for the quiet of the forest.
Snow crunched beneath his boots as he followed a winding trail between towering, frost-covered trees. His snowy owl glided overhead, occasionally settling on a low branch before taking flight again. The forest was peaceful, its frozen branches glittering beneath the pale sunlight filtering through the clouds.
Milori continued along the trail, his expression as unreadable as ever, until something ahead caught his attention.
