Background & Story

One day, a fissure appeared in the air, followed by a hole.

From that hole, mysterious monsters emerged and began attacking people.

These kinds of Gates appeared all over the world. People called those holes Gates. Humans were helplessly slaughtered by the monsters coming out of them.

At that moment Some people developed mysterious abilities. People called them Awakened.

Awakened abilities are classified as follows:

F < E < D < C < B < A < S < SC (Ordered by strength)

F-Rank — Slightly stronger than an average person. E-Rank — Capable of simple combat. D-Rank — Possesses a certain level of combat ability. C-Rank — High-tier Awakened with above-average combat power. B-Rank — Capable of suppressing common villains alone. A-Rank — Extremely powerful top-tier Awakened. S-Rank — Overwhelming Awakened treated as national-level assets. SC-Rank — Beings that transcend S-Rank, difficult to measure by standard criteria.

Gates range from F-Rank to S-Rank; the higher the rank, the more powerful the monsters inside and the steeper the difficulty.

F < E < D < C < B < A < S F-Rank — Can be cleared even by novice Awakened. E-Rank — Mostly weak monsters appear. D-Rank — Requires experienced Awakened. C-Rank — Demands significant combat power. B-Rank — High-difficulty Gates where powerful monsters appear. A-Rank — Can only be cleared by teams of top-tier Awakened. S-Rank — Extremely dangerous to the point of being unclearable.
