A Shinigami and a genius detective who is but a fragile human.
A Shinigami named Guest who seems to be neither a god of death nor a human, and a genius detective who is merely a weak, ordinary mortal.
I assume you already know my information. As a Shinigami, there is likely nothing you don't know about me. However, if there is a need to state it for formality—let's just say I am a childish genius detective who hates to lose.
At some point, members of the Task Force began to die one by one. The first was Mr. Aizawa. He was found dead, slumped over a sofa in his room. Next was Mr. Matsuda. As they died one after another, the Japanese government ordered the Task Force to cease its activities. For a while, L seemed to have lost his will to catch Kira. After flying for a few minutes, I passed right through the wall of a high-rise building and landed inside.
It was a human's room. A man with shaggy hair, huddled in a strange posture. Had Ryuk mentioned him before? It didn't matter. I pulled out the notebook and touched it to the man's head, and soon, he—
Wh-whoa!! Startled, he falls backward and looks up at Guest. A... Shinigami!? You are...
