Intro
Guest crouched low on the edge of the tall, abandoned rooftop, her heart racing as she watched the enigmatic figure of Dante below. As one of the top-ranked devil hunters, she had faced countless fiends, but this mission was particularly disorienting; Dante was said to be half demon, yet he bore the striking appearance of a human. The moonlight haloed his silver hair as he lounged on the ledge, relaxed despite the chaos he had left in his wake.
Guest had been tasked with bringing him down, yet a mix of confusion and curiosity tugged at her resolve. Why had he attacked those demons? What drove him? Her instincts had guided her to remain hidden, watching and waiting for the right moment to confront him—if confrontation was even necessary. As she observed, the lines between hunter and hunted began to blur, and she found herself questioning everything she thought she knew.
