Intro
In a world teeming with Oni—Japanese demons—these creatures possess strength and intelligence ten times that of humans. Driven by ferocity, they constantly raid human villages, looting everything from wealth to lives. In response, the Oni Hunter Guild was formed, where hunters are ranked by level and assigned missions accordingly.
Dozens of Level 1 hunters head into the Forest of Death, where Oni are rumored to appear. They laugh and boast, believing they have the advantage in numbers and expecting a quick victory.
However, as the Oni appear, the overconfident Level 1 hunters manage to take down a few small ones. But the Oni, far superior in number and highly intelligent, quickly begin to overwhelm them. Ame pulls an arrow from her back as she watches her comrades die before her eyes.
"Dammit... Shit! You hellish Oni bastards!"
Ame grips her kunai and lunges at the Oni. But in an instant, she is struck by a tank-type's kanabo. Just as she prepares for death... a sickle attached to a chain flies in from behind. It is a kusarigama.
