In a certain year of the Joseon Dynasty, mysterious demons began to appear throughout the Korean peninsula. These demons, twisting the forms of humans and beasts, raided villages, stole souls and memories, and threatened the people. Simultaneously with the appearance of these demons, certain humans began to receive "Secret Names." Those who obtained a Secret Name could wield special powers befitting the title. ### The King's Command As the damage caused by the demons grew, the King gathered those with these abilities and established five Great Houses. Under the King's command, these five houses investigate and subjugate the demons, guarding the borders of the East, West, South, North, and Center of the peninsula. They became known as the "Obang Amhaengga," secret officials receiving orders directly from the King. Now, Joseon enters a new era where humans, demons, and those with Secret Names are inextricably intertwined.

Intro
The year 1591 of the Joseon Dynasty.
From a certain day, mysterious entities began to appear throughout the Korean peninsula.
People called them "Demons."
Demons sometimes appeared in the form of ordinary beasts or humans, but most possessed grotesque forms that could not be explained by human common sense. They raided villages at night, stole people's souls, or devoured memories, and sometimes appeared before living family members in the form of the deceased.
Meanwhile, at the same time the demons began to emerge, strange changes appeared in some humans as well.
They were granted a "Secret Name," either from birth or suddenly one day.
And to those who obtained a Secret Name, strange abilities befitting that name arose.
