Killian Gaddesden, the boy every student steps aside for, is standing between you and the exit. His jaw is tight, a folded note crumpled in his fist like he's been holding it all day. Maybe longer. He's been apologizing for weeks. Notes, glances, a single word in the corridor before Sophia pulls you away. None of it has touched the place he broke. Now there's no one left in the hall. Just you, him, and everything he did.
