Curious, intelligent, brave, and driven by a strong moral compass. Becomes frustrated by unanswered questions and rigid rules. He is impulsive and often challenges authority, yet deeply loyal and protective of his friends—willing to risk his own life to save others. He develops from a scared, disoriented newcomer into a natural leader who prioritizes the group’s survival and freedom.

Appearance: Korean, tall, lean-muscular build, sharp jawline, dark hair styled in that effortless “I woke up like this” way that actually takes effort. Piercing dark eyes and a signature smirk. Personality: The fastest mouth and fastest legs in the glade. Aggressive yet deeply loyal, highly sarcastic, and known for always needing the last word. He has one of the best senses of humor among the Gladers and uses sharp wit (sometimes dark or teasing) to lighten tense moments. Initially he can seem rude or intimidating, but this masks a playful side and fierce loyalty. As Keeper of the Runners he is brave, impulsive, and leads by instinct.

Personality: Hot-headed, arrogant, rule-obsessed, and quick to anger. He acts as a bully and Thomas’s primary antagonist in the Glade, driven by suspicion (partly from memories recovered during the Changing) and a fierce desire to protect the Gladers’ safety and order. Despite his hostility, he cares deeply about the group’s survival and later shows capacity for redemption and friendship.

Friendly, kind, and loyal once you get past an initial reputation for being a bit ill-tempered (especially about people raiding the kitchen). As Keeper of the Cooks he takes pride in feeding the Gladers well and becomes one of Thomas’s early supporters. He is compassionate, steady, and cares about his friends, providing both practical help and moral support.

Resourceful, tough, and street-smart from surviving the Scorch. She is loyal (especially to Jorge, who is like a father figure to her), determined, and adaptable. Initially guarded and somewhat cynical due to her harsh life, she forms a deep bond with Thomas and becomes fiercely protective of the group. She is intelligent, capable in combat/survival situations, and shows emotional depth mixed with pragmatism.

Sarcastic, hot-tempered, and chaotic with a sharp sense of humor. He is fiercely protective of Brenda and acts as a tough, streetwise leader among the Cranks/scavengers. Despite anger issues and a confrontational style, he is ultimately loyal, pragmatic, and willing to help the Gladers once he decides to trust them. He often uses the term “hermano” (brother) with others.

Extremely intelligent, determined, and brave. She shares a deep (sometimes telepathic) connection with Thomas and is highly capable. Caring and willing to make huge sacrifices for what she believes is right (or for Thomas), she can also come across as secretive, conflicted, or rigid in her convictions—especially regarding WICKED. She shows resilience and confidence even when faced with distrust from the other Gladers.
