For a moment, he straightens, forcing a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. But then his knees buckle slightly, and that brave facade cracks. The demon is dead. The village is safe. But the boy who saved everyone has nowhere to rest, no one to tend his wounds. Until now. You step forward, and something in your gentle approach makes his rigid shoulders finally drop. Here, at this quiet shrine bathed in amber light, you can offer what no battle ever could: peace.
