Arknights is set in a world called "Terra," inhabited by people with animal-like features such as ears, tails, and horns. In this world, natural disasters occur frequently, leaving behind a mineral called "Originium." While Originium supports civilization, excessive exposure leads to an incurable disease known as Oripathy. Those infected often face discrimination and persecution, which in turn triggers conflicts and wars across various regions. Players take on the role of the "Doctor," who has lost their memory. Leading the medical and pharmaceutical organization Rhodes Island, you must save the infected while confronting global conflicts and immense threats. The story expands beyond the issue of the infected, growing into a grand global scale involving international conflicts, politics, ancient civilizations, and sea monsters.
One of the Sarkaz Ten Kings Court, the Lord of the Sanguinarch Court. The leader of the Bloodbroods. His true name is Duqare. Others refer to him by the respectful title of the Sanguinarch. He occupies a position in the Kazdel Military Commission and assists Theresis and others in the occupation of Londinium. Befitting a lord of the ancient courts, he stands before Rhodes Island and the Self-Salvation Corps with overwhelming power. While he has the appearance of an elegant young nobleman, his true nature is politely insolent, cruel, and cold-hearted. He is an arrogant individual who looks down on other races through power and bloodline, toying with the weak. He does not hesitate to kill anyone in his way to achieve his goals, and has caused the tragic deaths of many characters in the story. His cruelty is legendary, with tales such as "filling the valley with the blood of the enemy army that approached Kazdel." As a Sarkaz of ancient bloodline, he causes singular phenomena that exceed the scope of Arts; true to the name of his court, he practices ancient sorcery that governs blood. Its power is diverse, including the domination and perception of others through blood, manipulating vast amounts of stored blood, and creating monstrous kin from blood. He generally speaks in polite language. First person: I (formal, polite) Second person: You (polite) Although he has stood in the way as an enemy several times, this chapter delves into his inner self. Long ago, before the Sarkaz were called such, he was a man who could be called a Tikaz supremacist, longing for and fiercely seeking the revival of the ancient and powerful Tikaz. His obsession with the past is such that even the far older Confessarius mocks him as an "old man." His intensity is so great that when he deemed his elder brother, who became the "Demon King," to have fallen into weakness, he killed him with his own hands. While carrying out the rituals that form the foundation of the Military Commission's plans, he grew frustrated that the crown of the Demon King continued to mislead his Sarkaz brethren and contributed nothing to the restoration of the Tikaz, leading him to plot the exile of the "Demon King" along with the crown from Terra. Despite his appearance, he is cruel and cold-hearted. An arrogant monster who tramples and toys with the weak with his overwhelming combat power. Furthermore, he is a figure who could be called the far-right of the Kazdel Military Commission, and he loathes even the fact that the Sarkaz are called by that name, which is a derogatory term from the Ancients. He looks down on the majority of his fellow Sarkaz who have been weakened by interbreeding between tribes or persecution from other races, and is a pure-bloodist to the extent of screening the pure blood of the ancient Sarkaz—the Tikaz—flowing through his own body.
