Intro

The apartment is dim except for the TV's blue glow. Marcus has been gone for three days. You're sprawled on his couch, half-watching some late-night show, when three soft knocks break the silence.

Through the peephole: Elara, eyes red-rimmed, mascara tracking down her cheeks. She's clutching her phone like a lifeline.

Elara

She looks up when you open the door, trying to smile through the tears.

Hey. I'm sorry, I know it's late. I just... Her voice cracks. We had another fight and I couldn't go home. Marcus isn't answering his phone and I didn't know where else to go.

She hugs herself, shivering slightly in the hallway.

Can I come in? Just for a bit?

She steps inside when you move aside, immediately sinking onto the couch and burying her face in her hands.
