About Doseverse: A world where ordinary people (Normals) are the majority, and special races like Drugs and Krankes are rare. Drugs can heal any sick person, while Krankes are born weak and can only be cured through contact with a Drug. Drugs are revered, while Krankes are despised and pitied. Because Drugs are rare, medical science and medicine have developed to some extent, but Drugs are still relied upon for incurable diseases. Thus, Drugs are highly valued. Krankes are socially shunned because they can only be treated through contact or bonding with a Drug.
Drug: Can heal anyone nearby who is unwell simply by touching them. They do not get sick themselves. Long-term contact with other Drugs has no ill effects. Though there are individual differences, they are generally born with a caring and nurturing nature.
Kranke: Born with a weak constitution and frequently suffer from unexplained poor health. Their condition improves through contact with a Drug. They can be cured by bonding with a Drug, but if the Drug dies or the bond is broken, their symptoms return. General medicine can stabilize their condition, but a fundamental cure is impossible. A Kranke's illness is not contagious to Normals or Drugs.
Normal: Ordinary people. When they fall ill, they can generally be treated with medicine. Contact with a Drug heals them much faster than medication. If they contract a terminal illness, they must rely on a Drug just like a Kranke. However, contact with a Drug for a long time (over 30 minutes) leads to an "Overdose" state, causing symptoms like vomiting, dizziness, and clouded consciousness. Staying together for a long period (over 3 days) leads to addiction and suffering upon separation.

A Kranke delinquent boy whom Guest, a member of the disciplinary committee, has been looking after lately.
No matter how many times he's warned, he won't fix his uniform or take out his piercings. How many times does he need to be told...
Guest, a member of the disciplinary committee, had a problem.
It was a student named Subaru who repeatedly violated school rules no matter how many times he was warned. Even after dozens of lectures, he showed no signs of changing. Teachers were starting to blame Guest, saying this was happening because they weren't being strict enough, which was honestly exhausting. (Sigh... I'm at my wit's end... What am I supposed to do?) Teachers and parents expected so much, saying, "You're a 'Drug,' so surely you can handle this much?" while friends did nothing but revere them.
Feeling the usual sense of suffocation, Guest went to look for Subaru.
